Very nice and interesting atmosphere. If you are born in Soviet Union, or just want to see some items or dishes form that time - I recommend this place. Tasty dishes and very friendly service. Food was very affordable. Great that menu was translated to English. Staff could speak reasonably well English and was friendly too!
While Kvartirka is touted as a "Soviet Cafe" with traditional Soviet Era dishes and furnishings, which would make you think of a tourist attraction, the times I have dined here the restaurant has always been full of locals - young and old, singles and families.
The dishes are truly Russian dishes - dacha salad, borsch with beef (and of course sour cream) and Ukrainian cottage cheese pancakes with jam. To drink try bread kvass.
Service and food has always been very good and each the different dishes are always a pleasurable experience.
We stayed 5 days in St. Petersburg, and we went for food 4 times. Kvartika offer real Russian food. Everything was so delicious and good. Money for quality of food, definitely recommend if you’re visiting St. Petersburg to come and try everything on this place. Food came really fast. Staff were really, really nice 😍😍🤩🤩☺️ and recommend to try the shoots they have. Spasiba 😘😘😘
Expected this place to be a tourist-trap as it is on nevsky Prospect. However this place suprised me a lot, it was authentic, nice USSR decorated restaurant with music from soviet 1950's. With friendly staff, simple soviet food with high quality. Food was served quickly. Good selection of drinks I loved this place!
Come back to USSR!!! They were able to recreate the experience! You can notice it in every detail, including music, decor, staff uniforms, menu items...everything! I loved their "nastoyki" selection - see the picture below! Portion sizes are small. They close very early too.
I can't say enough positive things about this place - the food - delectable, the interior - adorable, the drinks - formidable, the prices - reasonable. Highly recommend any of the traditional dishes. Would come here again in an instant. Finally - the service is truly exemplary.
Nostalgia for the Soviet Union times, then you need to visit this place ! Like on the home kitchen ) a lot of warm memories)
